Two of the most talented actors in Bollywood, who have established their star power purely on the basis of their merit, Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are reuniting on the big screen.
In Vikas Bahl’s Queen, Rajkummar had played Kangana’s fiancé, who goes on to break her heart and inadvertently pushes her towards a coming-of-age journey. They will be seen in Prakash Kovelamudi’s next. The first as well as second looks of the film are already generating interest among fans. And if the posters are anything to go by, the duo are about to unleash their crazy best.
The film, which is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Karma Media, has been written by Kanika Dhillon. The shoot hasn’t started yet, but the promotions are already on. Balaji Motion Pictures shared the first look on their Twitter with the caption, “It’s time to bring out the crazy in you.. Because Sanity is overrated!”

If that looks completely loco, then wait for the second look. Kangana is seen in a metallic leotard smiling like a lunatic on a chalk outline of a dead body. Rajkummar, on the other hand, has looks even more demented with cello tape all over his face. Balaji Motion Pictures tweeted the photos with the caption, “They are coming to add “IN” to your sanity!”

At a recent event, Kangana spoke about the film and her role in it: ”My next film is Mental Hai Kya, which is written by a woman screenplay writer, Kanika. The story is about a woman who could be a murderer or a mentally ill person. It talks about mental health, but also has a light-heartedness to it. You’re never sure if this girl is hallucinating or what’s happening to her is for real, whether the guy (Rajkummar Rao) is trying to trap her or she’s got him wrong.”
She further spoke about working again with Rajkummar, “He is a star today while still being a brilliant actor, so I will have to be on my toes to ensure he doesn’t steal the show from right under my nose.”
